Happy Christmas in July Yume! Wrote a little one-shot of Yume and Silva at a colosseum battle :D “Introducing the challengers for this round of battles! Coming in from the left side, it’s Yukari! And coming from the other side is..Mirei! Let’s wish them luck in the semi finals!” The crowds energetic roars filled the stadium, swelling into a cacophony that hurt Yume’s ears, but got her heart racing all the same. “Seriously? This is the thing that keeps you out of trouble?” She glared at the boy behind her. “Shut up, Silva.” He snorted. “Weird that Duking even lets you out of the house with those,” he pointed to Catus and Zerda sitting on her shoulders. “I figured you’d try to join the battle.” “Shut up,” she hissed, directing her attention back to the battle. “You’re going to make me miss this.” “Weirdo.” Catus whipped around and hissed at him, fangs bared. “Hey, down, boy,” said Yume, patting his head. “Not your fault he’s a dumbass.” The battle was in full swing now: Yukari’s Gengar

Departing from DA

This may have been inevitable at the way things have been ongoing. And I'm definitely not the first. I am planning to break away from Deviant Art. I had already opted to stop posting art pieces to this site. But now I'm contemplating on leaving outright. I simply cannot continue to pretend I am okay with what they are doing with this site. Why I am leaving It is obvious to me what the current mentality is of the company running the site. I understand there should be a means to make a site profitable to keep it afloat. But this isn't it. Being the middle man in transactions is fine. The fact that they want to take a chunk of the profits is also understandable. DeviantArt is definitely on the more expensive end in that regard, compared to other sites through which I've handled my commissions and subscriptions and that's why I chose to continue using other means through which to handle payments. I can at most call these payment services they offer on site redundant and too pricey for

So, another heads up for another social media account I have created, This time it's for Cara, a website that is aimed to be for artists to post their work. It's still in beta but I'm setting up an account and keeping an eye on it just in case. For anyone interested in what Cara exactly is, it is a platform that aims to be oriented on artwork created by artists, meaning no AI art is allowed on the website. On top of that, the site has option for using the Glaze function, which protects your art from being datascraped for AI art training. I will not cross-post my entire comic on the platform as there is too much to upload at this point, however, I might make use of the site to include it in my platforms where I post updates.
